Additionally, C.W.C. adds electrolytes, potassium, magnesium, sodium
and phosphorus to bar applications.
Coconut water concentrate also may
aid nutrition bar manufacturers seeking
to expand into the savory segment.
"The key to moving forward into
savory flavors is finding a way to meld
flavors together with something sweet,"
iTi Tropicals said in a blog post. "Coconut
water concentrate provides the perfect
balance of the two. Consumers are looking for functional ingredients, but also
want bars to have cleaner, simpler labels."
AIDP adds new
prebiotic to health
processors and brand companies. The
platform supports sustainable agricultural practices, including producing
safe, high-quality agricultural products
in a way that protects and improves the
natural environment, the social and
economic conditions of farmers, their
employees and local communities, and
safeguards the health and welfare of all
farmed species, the S.A.I. Platform said.
"Our raw materials are sourced in
over 30 countries," said Gustavo Puente,

us drive continuous improvement in our
various sourcing models. We started this
year with our domestically managed farms
in which we received a silver rating."
Neo Cremar Co., Ltd. has appointed
AIDP the exclusive distributor for its NeoGOS range of oligosaccharides. NeoGOS
prebiotics are clinically proven to promote
healthy bacterial growth, Neo Cremar said.
NeoGOS, found naturally occurring
in human milk, is a non-digestible food
ingredient composed of galacto-oligosaccharides, which are prebiotic fibers made
up of a chain of galactose sugars. The
ingredient is fermented by the intestinal
micro flora and resists gastric acidity,
Neo Cremar said.
"We're committed to building our digestive health ingredient portfolio, and the
NeoGOS is an ideal addition to our growing
line of prebiotics," said Mark Thurston,
president of City of Industry, Calif.-based
AIDP. "Digestive health continues to be a
booming area of growth both on the ingredient side and finished product side. As
with all of our ingredients, AIDP's expertise is focused on both scientifically proven
ingredients, as well solving as formulation
challenges for our customers."
