White Castle expands retail offerings
COLUMBUS, OHIO - Quick-service restaurant chain White Castle is beefing up
its grocery offerings. The company is adding another popular menu item,
the chicken and cheese slider, to its consumer packaged goods lineup.
The frozen product features breaded chicken breast with rib meat
topped with American cheese on the brand's signature square bun. The
Chicken & Cheese Slider joins Original Sliders, Classic Cheese Sliders,
Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, Chicken Breast Sliders, and the Sausage, Egg and
Cheese Breakfast Slider in supermarket freezers.
" Our four-count Chicken Slider is already our third fastest-growing
retail slider, so we're expecting the new version with cheese to be a
huge hit with consumers, " said Tiffany Carreker, general manager and
vice president of sales for White Castle's retail division. " This is a great
tasting sandwich and the perfect choice for grocery shoppers to bring

PepsiCo subsidiary expands keto snack brand
PURCHASE, NY. - Keto-friendly snack brand Hilo Life is debuting
cheese puffs in cheddar and fiery hot flavors. The products
contain 3 grams of net carbohydrates and 12 grams of protein per
serving with no added sugar.
Hilo Life is owned by Inviting Foods LLC, a subsidiary of
PepsiCo, Inc. Earlier this year, the brand introduced tortilla-style
chips formulated with defatted almond flour. Hilo Life also offers
cheese and nut snack mixes.
